Reflection on Communicative Tool

 Communicative Tool

A communicative tool refers to any technology or application that allows sharing of information and ideas. In the context of education, communication tools help maintain communication between students and teachers, promote collaboration, and provide support outside regular class hours. They are especially useful when working in groups, learning remotely, or when teachers need to gather student feedback efficiently.

One such tool I explored during my training is Telegram. As a student teacher, i discovered that Telegram is a highly effective and a modern platform for communication where i have used it for peer discussions, sharing resources, and coordinating discussions.

This screenshot shows a Telegram study group used during our collaborative lesson planning. Pinned messages helped keep key key instructions accessible. The image illustrates how group communication was organized efficiently.

Telegram offers support for large group chats and channels, which was very helpful for our study groups and class discussions. During our group assignments and lesson planning sessions, we used a Telegram group to share updates, reminders, and helpful resources. The ability to pin important messages ensured that essential information stayed easily accessible for everyone.

One feature that stood out to me is the poll and quiz function. We used it for informal lesson reviews and check our understanding of various topics. These quick and interactive activities were both engaging and effective in reinforcing classroom learning. They also encouraged active participation and self assessment among group members.

Telegram allows users to share large files, including videos, documents, and presentations making it easy to exchange teaching materials without restrictions. This feature enabled us to review shared content anytime, supporting flexible, self-paced learning.

The voice chat and live discussion features were very helpful, as they facilitated real-time group conversations smoothly and collaboratively without requiring video calls. Moreover, Telegram's privacy settings create a secure communication environment since users can connect using usernames instead of sharing phone numbers.

Overall, my experience with Telegram has demonstrated its value as a communicative tool in education. It promotes collaboration, simplifies resources sharing, and boosts engagement. As a future teacher, I believe Telegram holds great promises to build an inclusive, connected, and responsive learning community.
